Exhibition Project - Les Elephants-Salvador Dali

Artist's comments

These elephants represent the future and are also a symbol of strength. They are often shown carrying obelisks (stone pillars which mark monuments and landmarks.) These symbolize and show power and domination. The weight supported by the animals' lanky legs conveys weightlessness, only made more significant by their cumbersome bodies, and the burden on their backs.
